Bianchi XL EV2 update

This bike has changed a bit since the original posting. The current build looks more like this:

Bianchi Reparto Corse Mega XL EV2 frame and fork (2001?)
Torelli Bormio Ultralight Ceramic wheelset
Michelin Lithion 2 tires 25mm
Sram Force Carbon compact crankset 48/34 tooth
Truvativ GXP bottom bracket
Deda RH2 44mm bars
Campagnolo Veloce 10 speed Ergo shifters
Campagnolo Centaur brake calipers
Campagnolo Chorus clamp on front derailleur
Shimano Dura-Ace RD-7800 short cage rear derailleur
Sram PG950 12-26 tooth cassette
Unknown brand carbon fiber seat post
Terry Zero titanium rails saddle

Bianchi XL EV2 climbing Cayuse Pass

Since the upgrades took place the EV2 has been ridden up and down a bunch of passes. During this time I've realized it is probably one size smaller than I prefer. I've also realized the geometry is definitely racier than I need. On the plus side, it is pretty light for an older aluminum bike.

Sometimes riders comment on the odd choice of 48 teeth for the big ring. If I was racing this would not get the job done. But I have a highish cadence and seldom wish for anything taller than the 48/12 ratio this setup provides.
